Engineering and construction services

Five divisions cover the full range of civil works our clients need, from the first cut on a hillside road to the fit-out of a finished building.

01

Roads and highways

Flexible asphalt and rigid concrete pavements, rehabilitation, drainage and the earthworks that keep hill roads standing.

How we build a road

Roads are economic lifelines. Our methods put durability, a smooth running surface and control of moisture first.

  1. Clearing and sub-grade preparationThe corridor is stripped and the natural sub-grade compacted to a high density.
  2. Aggregate base courseA well graded base spreads traffic load and limits settlement.
  3. Moisture management and drainageCamber, side slopes and drains carry surface and sub-surface water away.
  4. Asphalt paving and compactionAsphalt layers are laid by paver and compacted with modern rollers.

Asphalt wearing course

The running surface uses bituminous asphalt. Mixing and laying temperatures are monitored so the binder spreads evenly, and vibratory and pneumatic rollers close the voids.

Road rehabilitation

Worn roads are restored for a safer surface, a longer life and lower lifecycle cost.

  • Cold milling of cracked or rutted surfaces
  • Repair of failed base
  • Structural asphalt overlays
  • Crack sealing to keep water out

Culverts and highway drainage

A road is only as good as its drainage. We build for all-weather performance and erosion control.

  • Reinforced concrete box culverts
  • RCC pipe culverts
  • Stone lined side ditches
  • Catch basins for surface runoff

Retaining walls and earthworks

For mountain and hill roads, with weep holes and filter material to release water pressure.

  • Stone masonry retaining walls
  • Reinforced concrete breast walls
  • Compacted embankments with drainage

Road safety fixtures

Thermoplastic reflective markings, cat eyes, directional signs and steel guardrails on sharp bends and steep edges.

Rigid PCC pavements

Plain cement concrete roads for industrial zones, urban centres and waterlogged ground, designed for decades of low maintenance service.

  • Superior load distribution
  • Resistance to rutting
  • Suited to harsh and wet conditions

Concrete for rigid roads

Low water to cement ratio mixes placed on a compacted sub-base, levelled, compacted with mechanical vibrators and finished slip resistant for wet weather.

Joints and curing

Contraction and expansion joints are cut at engineered spacing and sealed with elastomeric compounds. Water curing lets the concrete reach its design strength.

02

Buildings

Structural engineering and general contracting, from deep foundation excavation to structural frames, masonry and interior finishes. Designs put seismic safety and code compliance first.

Residential

Custom single family homes through to multi storey developments: concrete frames, masonry, plumbing, electrical and interior finishes, managed from plan to completion.

Commercial

Business hubs, offices and shopping plazas.

  • Open span concrete for column free layouts
  • Durable foundations
  • Efficient utility routing and MEP planning
  • Hard wearing exterior finishes

Government and municipal

Administrative offices, community centres and municipal buildings for public clients, as a PEC registered contractor.

  • Public design guidelines
  • Security and controlled access
  • Firm budget control

Education

School campuses, college lecture halls and administration blocks with wide corridors, natural light, emergency escape routes and provision for classroom technology.

Healthcare

Clinical blocks, hospital wings and local health centres with easy to clean finishes, routes for medical gases, emergency backup power and accessible layouts.

Bank branches

New branches, relocations and renovations for Meezan Bank across Swat, Shangla, Mardan, Swabi, Nowshera, Peshawar and Bannu.

03

Renovation and retrofit

Structural rehabilitation and interior and exterior upgrades for buildings that still have years of service to give.

Structural repair methods

Renovation is often a lower cost, lower impact alternative to rebuilding. Our rehabilitation work brings older buildings up to current structural and safety codes.

  • Epoxy injectionHigh strength resin injected into concrete cracks to restore monolithic action.
  • Spall repairPolymer modified mortars applied to deteriorated concrete.
  • Structural jacketsSteel or concrete jackets that raise column capacity.
  • CFRP wrapsCarbon fibre wraps on beams and columns for strength, ductility and seismic performance.

Architectural fit-outs

Upgrades that improve appearance, energy use, daily function and property value.

  • Exterior cladding and facades
  • Flooring
  • Wall, roof and window insulation
  • Interior layout redesign
  • Painting and finishes
  • Mechanical, electrical and plumbing upgrades
04

Irrigation and water

Canals, flow control structures, drains and water supply schemes that bring water where it is needed and take it away where it is not.

Concrete lined canals

We excavate, shape and line agricultural canals so water is not lost to seepage between the source and the farm. The result is a reliable supply, better irrigation efficiency and a longer canal life.

  1. ExcavationCut to the design depth and alignment.
  2. Shaping and gradingSection and gradient set for steady flow.
  3. Concrete liningPlaced to stop seepage losses.
  4. Curing and finishingProtected until the lining reaches strength.
  5. Flow optimisationChecked and adjusted once water is let in.

Reservoirs and flow control

Regulators, sluice gates, fall structures and distribution boxes built for constant water pressure and to limit erosion at connections.

Agricultural and stormwater drains

Channels that take excess water off fields and out of communities, limiting waterlogging, protecting crops and steadying groundwater.

Water supply schemes

Solar powered water supply schemes with storage tanks and filtration plants, groundwater recharge wells and rainwater harvesting structures.

05

Flood protection

Structures that protect towns, farmland and roads from flash floods and river erosion.

Flood and torrent control

Flash floods threaten communities, farmland and roads in the hills. Our works break the energy of fast water and guide it past vulnerable ground.

  • Check dams and gabion weirs
  • Retaining walls
  • Training works and guide bunds
  • Silt traps and drop structures
  • Riverbank protection

Embankments, stone pitching and gabion spurs

Baskets filled with graded stone let water drain while holding the bank, including through monsoon flows. Gabions are flexible, permeable and can take vegetation over time.

Reinforced concrete flood walls

Thick walls on deep foundations that resist overturning and sliding, used where space is tight or the asset is high value.

  • Riverside towns
  • Critical roads
  • Public infrastructure and high value assets
